A new startup called Roam aims to change the way millennials work, travel and live. In this digital age, many jobs only require a laptop and internet access which is exactly what Roam is geared toward. As a ‘distributed network of communal living spaces’ the start-up offers affordable housing (private room/bath) with communal living rooms and kitchen all equipped with wifi access. For $500 a week or $1800 a month, young professionals can post up in Madrid, London or even Bali with other like-minded creatives or entrepreneurs. The spaces are all unique and offer more space than most boutique hotels or home rentals in addition to be very affordable. The team plans to expand to other cities quickly after receiving $3.3 million in seed funding.
