Innovative bar concepts are popping up all over the world and Shanghai has really hit the prohibition concept out of the park. Flask is a dimly lit speakeasy serving lemongrass cocktails in a chic setting, but the best part of the bar is the entrance. The Press, a sandwich shop operating as the ‘front’ for the bar, contains a vintage Coca-Cola vending machine in the corner. Pull back the handle to reveal it’s actually the entrance to Flask and you’re instantly transported into another world.
