I just stumbled upon this Architectural Digest article featuring the newly opened Leo’s Oyster Bar in San Francisco’s Fidi neighborhood. With interiors by Ken Faulk, the designer jokes “it’s as if Don Draper and Betty Bloomingdale had a baby.” Reminiscent of the Beverly Hills Hotel with its palm leaf wallpaper and rattan details, Leo’s menu includes a New England lobster roll, tropical-inspired drinks and raw bites. The bright white stools and pink onyx bar stun in the main dining room, but just past the kitchen you’ll find the unmarked courtyard and lounge, the Hideaway, serving champagne and punch bowls. Can’t imagine a better spot for oysters and happy hour cocktails.
