I’ve just returned from a trip to Nicaragua and I’m still dreaming about our time at the Tribal Hotel in Granada. Owners Jean-Marc Houmard and Yvan Cussigh designed every last detail from the entire hotel layout to the kilim rugs and mid-century modern furniture that was made by local artisans. We spent our days poolside in the beachy cabanas sipping on Spicy Cucumber’s and reading W magazines. This hotel alone is worth the visit to the beautiful colonial town of Granada. With only 7 rooms each with their own private terrace, this is one of the most affordable boutique hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Stay tuned for our Nicaragua Travel Diary including visits to the coast and our stay at a house in the jungle!
